DELETE YOUR ACCOUNT
You can delete your FightMap account at any time, either from inside the app or by emailing us. This page explains both routes and exactly what happens to your data.
1. Delete from inside the app (fastest)
This is immediate and needs no waiting on us:
- Open FightMap and sign in.
- Go to the Profile tab.
- Tap Delete Account and confirm.
Your account is deleted straight away and you are signed out on every device.
2. Request deletion by email
If you can't install the app or have already removed it, email admin@fightmap.app from the email address on the account, with the subject “Delete my account”.
We verify the request comes from the account holder, then delete it. We aim to complete requests within a few days and always within 30 days. We'll email you when it's done.
3. What gets deleted
What we can erase depends on whether your account has purchase or event history, because some records belong to other people too.
If you have never bought a ticket or published an event
Everything is permanently erased — your profile, your promoter profile if you had one, and your login credentials. Nothing is kept and nothing can be recovered.
If you have bought tickets or published events
These records are tied to other people — a promoter's sales records, or fans holding tickets to an event you ran — and to tax and accounting obligations, so they can't simply vanish. Instead we permanently remove everything that identifies you:
- Your name is replaced with “Deleted user”
- Your email address is replaced with a non-working placeholder
- Your profile photo is deleted
- Your saved location (city, ZIP, coordinates) is deleted
- Any age range or gender you provided is deleted
- Promoter contact email, phone, website and social links are deleted
- Your Google and Apple sign-in links are removed, every session is revoked, and sign-in is permanently disabled
- Any staff access you held on another promoter's account is removed
The account cannot be recovered, reopened, or signed into again.
4. What is retained, and why
- Order and ticket records, in the anonymised form above — required for tax and accounting, and so promoters keep a valid record of tickets they sold.
- Promotion name and logo on past events, if you were a promoter — other fans hold tickets that reference those events, and removing them would break their records. Your personal contact details are removed, as listed above.
- Payment records held by Stripe, our payment processor, under their own retention policy. We don't store card details at any point.
5. Before you can delete
Two situations need resolving first:
- Promoters with upcoming events. If you have a published event still to happen, cancel it first. Fans are holding tickets to it, and deleting your account would leave them stranded. Past and already-cancelled events don't block deletion.
- Administrator accounts can't be self-deleted. Contact us directly.
Deleting is permanent, and it takes your tickets with it. If you hold tickets to an event that hasn't happened yet, you'll lose access to their QR codes and won't be able to get in at the door. Use them, or request a refund from the promoter, before you delete.
